An overwhelming lack of publicity about the Kravis Prize has sent hundreds of curious Claremont McKenna students into a tailspin. Desperate for more information, students have asked such questions as, “where and when will the ceremony be held?” “who won the prize?” and “how can I RSVP?” The recent dearth of emails and posters concerning the upcoming Kravis Prize ceremony has left students feeling uninformed and alone in an endless abyss of uncertainty. Jenny Thompson CMC ‘13 commented, “Is there some sort of fun, student-led panel relating to education and international development? The world will never know due to the administration’s failure to advertise information about the Kravis Prize.” Frantic students have resorted to Craigslist, often posting in the “Man Seeking Entrepreneurial Event” section ads with titles such as “JoCann anyone tell me where 2 find moar info?” and “I’d Olav to find some sort of luncheon/lecture event?!?” CMC Freshman Karen Walker mourned, “if only there were some way to send out information to the entire student body five times a day.” Walker shook her head, “If only.”
