I get it. You finally have something you can point to when someone says “what’s an acapella?” It’s flashy. It has cool celebrities. Competition. A heartthrob. That cup song thing that was cool 10 years ago, I guess.
But on a serious note (insert laugh track here), it’s time to move on. You guys know you’re worth more than just a movie reference from 2012. You don’t need to reduce yourselves to that just to fill the seats at Human Symphony.
Besides, if you need a recent movie to bounce off, pick Trolls instead. Anna Kendrick’s in that one, too.
