On behalf of the writers, editors, interns receiving college credit, and on-call DILFs here at The GA, we’d like to issue a formal apology. We’d be wrong to ignore the backlash from PETA and the Scripps 2024 GroupMe regarding our wxrm posts. We NEVER intended to offend the w*rm community, and we are ashamed of the disconnect between our intent and our impact. We will use this as an opportunity to learn and grow, and we are so sorry.
Likewise, to all the werems who were involved in *orm week (romantically, sexually, empirically, etc.) we are really sorry and we recognize that “sex therapy” is not an appropriate way to use our therapy wo*ms. Also, we’re sorry Connor never made you finish even though he’s a selfish prick. We have since terminated him. RIP Connor.
Most of all, we’d like to apologize to our fr*ends and f*mily who have bravely stood by our sides and had to witness all the death threats we’ve received from anti-w*** activist since the start of worm w*ek 2021. Maybe some day society will be ready for how powerful our love is. Until then, we will be cancelling wo*m week. Please respect our privacy in the coming days.
