“It’s official, everyone, this is my mother,” wrote Sadie Green (SC ’28) on Instagram. “She has been mothering me for the past 20 years.”
“Some people may have already figured this out,” she clarified, “given that we share a last name and she helps me move in every year. But no, it’s not casual. This woman gave birth to me, and now you all know.”
Situationship moms and nurturing yearners alike have been disappointed by the news, but Sadie has remained firm. “This is a committed relationship; we are not interested in parental polyamory. As for maternal monogamy, my mother is unfortunately already married to a man.”
