When Greek king Sisyphus began his task of pushing a boulder up a hill over and over again for eternity, he was told by Zeus that his job would last “an eternity.”
Recently however, with more qualified individuals entering the workforce, and new skills being valued in an ever changing economy, Sisyphus was finally let go.
In a recent statement, the former King of Ephyra spouted a number of bigoted remarks, blaming immigrants for the relinquishment of his task:
“It’s MY job. Now, I have nothing to do. Now that I can’t push my boulder up a hill for eternity, it seems life has no meaning! One must imagine me bored as shit.”
Critics of Sisyphus point out that the real culprit of the loss of Sisyphus’s job is automation.
